Spanish

What do we do? Why do we do it?

In Spanish we focus on topics relevant to students’ lives, enabling them to understand and express language relating to a wide range of topics. Lessons include a range of skills including speaking, listening, reading & writing. Students are encouraged to discuss their own experiences & opinions and to learn about how their life compares to young people in the Spanish-speaking world. The curriculum is ambitious and aims to allow all KS3 students to successfully progress to GCSE and beyond. At GCSE we finish new knowledge in Year 10 to enable students to properly focus on exam preparation in Year 11, thereby allowing them to achieve the best possible outcomes.

The Spanish curriculum overview can be found in the attachment below.
