Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct – Let’s Make Nottingham Academy Amazing!

We all want our school to be a safe, happy place where everyone can learn and succeed. Here’s how you can help:

Do the Right Things

  • Respect everyone – no matter their race, culture, gender or religion.
  • Be polite and calm around school.
  • Listen to staff and follow instructions.
  • Knock before entering classrooms.
  • Wear your full uniform with pride.
  • Arrive on time for school and lessons.
  • Walk on the LEFT in corridors and stairways – follow the one-way system.
  • Line up calmly for lessons.
  • Take off coats, scarves and gloves before entering classrooms.
  • Leave lessons only when told by a teacher.
  • Hand in work on time and try your best in every lesson.
  • Bring the basics: pen, pencil, ruler, rubber – and a bag for your books.
  • Look after school property and keep our environment clean.
  • Bring a note if you’ve been absent.

Things You Must Not Do

  • Use bad language anywhere on site.
  • Wear make-up or jewellery (except one small ear stud in each ear lobe).
