Urdu - Key Stage 4
At the Academy, pupils follow the AQA GCSE Urdu course. Units are based around reading, listening, writing and speaking skills.
Pupils study three themes of: identity and culture, Local, national, international and global areas of interest, Current and future study and employment.
Pupils take speaking, listening, reading and writing at the end of the course, each worth 25% of the final marks.
Pupils studying other community languages follow courses from OCR, Edexcel and AQA. These focus on similar topics and are assessed in similar ways to the GCSE Urdu course.
