Nottingham Secondary Academy

Mathematics

What do we do? Why do we do it?

The maths department at Nottingham Academy aims to provide a high-quality education for all its students. We want our students to appreciate mathematics’ beauty, universal nature and understand how Maths is integral to everyday life.

We follow the National Curriculum, supported by White Rose in Years 7 and 8, OCR for Key Stage 4 and AQA at Key Stage 5.

Our curriculum aims to develop students' fluency, reasoning and problem-solving and, as a result, produce financially literate adults with qualifications that will provide them with an array of options in their lives beyond the Academy.
