Pupils in Year 7 and 8 have been showing off their culinary skills at the new after school cooking club.
The club is held by learning mentor Ms Atkinson on Thursday afternoons.
Last week they made pancakes and some of them even represented a book character to celebrate World Book Day.
Ms Atkinson said: "All of them did really well, a few were nervous about flipping them but every single one of them managed to do it, and to say they had never made pancakes before they all did a brilliant job.
"We had a few different types of pancakes including red velvet made my Latisha, fresh strawberries mixed into the batter made my Holly and chocolate made by Katelyn.
"The girls also got to show off their creative side when it came to decorating. Sarah made a pink bears face and Catherine also made a bear with strawberries and whipped cream, although I had to be quick getting photos as they couldn't wait to eat them.
"Courtney even managed to create a bear in her pan, which resembled Winnie the Pooh, for World Book Day.
