KS1
Year 7
Students have 2 lessons of ICT every week with a
dedicated Year 7 teacher, they have access to their own ICT Suite with
30 PCs. The Year 7 units are as follows:
- Codename Cobra - covers essential ICT skills such as word processing, spreadsheet and graphics.
- Control - covers aspects of everyday life, including traffic light sequencing.
- Modelling - Spreadsheet skills are introduced to students alogn with computer modelling.
- Data Handling - Students are expected to examine databases and their uses, students will create a database using Viewpoint Database software.
- Presenting Information - This unit focuses on presenting skills covering posters, leaflets and logos.
Year 8
Students have 1 double lesson of ICT every week. They have access to a total of 5 ICT suites. Units covered in Year 8 are:
- Movie Buster Unit
- Control
- Modelling
- Presenting Information
- Data Handling
- Website Skills
Year 9
Students as in Year 9 have a double lesson of ICT every week. Units covered in Year 9 are:
- Data Handling
- Presenting Information
- Modelling
- Website Skills
- ICT in Society Project
- Mediator Project
